What do you think of Steven Gullet?
I bet he'll be a legend when it's over
Hey he is my old friend
The payoff is ok, I guess
Don't ask me to talk about Steven
The joke's on me-  Steven Sucks

Steven Gullett
Steven Gullett has been performing music for 10 years now. He's played in a number of glam-punk / rock 'n' roll bands (Freakstrobe, Love Lies Bleeding & The Mystery Addicts) in the Dayton Ohio area over the years & he's also played out solo.  No matter how many bands he played in he always returned to the acoustic stage. There's something so raw & bare about one voice & one guitar that just can't be beat.

Years of songwriting fruition & growth were born on his debut solo CD "Cheap Reflections". Recorded over 2 years on 4-track & 8-track machines the result was a sparse but immediate sound. Steven's rough vocals combine beautifully with the thick sound of a jumbo acoustic guitar & occasional electric overdubs.

Not being one to stand still too long creatively a second CD "Sad Like Marilyn" was born at the end of 2002. With improved production & a tighter sound "Sad Like Marilyn" shows amazing growth in playing & singing as well. The demise of his most recent band, The Mystery Addicts, has left him able to concentrate full time on solo performances.

Armed with a catalog of over 200 songs Steven blurs the genres that try to define him; from Rock to Ballads to Punk to Alt Country and aggressive Antifolk the constant among the diversity is solid, honest songwriting, melodic hooks, & intelligent wordplay with a poet's phrasing.
