What your talking about is all good. I don't mean to change the
topic, but the Antifolk Fest is coming up soon. Lach is giving us
an opportunity to make the scene bigger than it is. We have a
festival in the park, we have a parade, we have back to back
shows, we have news crews coming, we have discounted
promotion, we have the chance to let the world know that antifolk
is here. If everyone put 100% into this.... if everyone promoted,
not only your shows, but the parade as well...If everyone showed
up to everyones shows..If we all showed up to the brunch to
discuss ideas, then everyone would benefit. I know im the new
cat on the scene, but I see things. I see visions. Visions of the scene becoming bigger and new doors swinging wide open.
Visions of hundreds of Antifolk artists and supporters marching through the streets with instruments blazing, and people cheering from the sidelines. I see visions of The Antifolk fest on the news, in the papers, in magazines, and all over the internet. This can happen, but we need to stick together, to work together towards a common goal. If your just sending E-mails out about the parade, or the fest, that's cool. But I ask you, are you putting 100% into it? Are you making those E-mails count?
Because it doesnt matter what u do, just push as hard as you can when u do it. A hundred or more people pushing agaist a door will make it fall way faster than one or two. We have a great nation of people (Antifolk) and a great president (Lach) who gives us opportunities. Lets take advantage of those opportunities while they are here. Even if your not performing in the fest and just know about it, help us out. You might be in it next year when its even bigger.
Think long term, think big, this is our future.
Post fliers, send emails, go to the meeting, leave your egos home.....
