The PF  Timeline

- Paleface meets Daniel Johnston. Daniel teaches him  to write a song.  Also about God and Satan.  Paleface begins to make  tapes.

-  Paleface and Beck hang out  in the Lower East  Side, NYC.  Danny Fields discovers Paleface at Lach's Antihoot.

-   Polydor signs Paleface and he writes Burn And Rob for the first album.

-   Paleface tours with The Judybats and with the Crash Test Dummies.  Audiences hate him.  He then tours with Billy Bragg.  Audiences warm up a little.  He appears in Rolling Stone  and Spin Magazine.  Friends think it's cool.  Paleface doesn't get it.

-  Paleface begins  to work on  his record. A & R badgering keeps him awake at nite (staring at the ceiling).  End of '93- End of record deal.  Paleface gets dropped.  The record company doesn't' like new songs.

-  Paleface makes Generic America  for Shimmy  Disc.  Masters get erased.  The record doesn't come out.  Bah!

-    NY Post does half page article on  Paleface in Lisa Robinson's column.    End of '95- Paleface gets signed to Sire Records.   Finds out he's been signed   from  Jesse Malin  (D-Generation) behind the bar at Coney Island High,  who  read  it in the paper.

- Get Off comes out on Sire about the same time as Beck's Odelay.   One month later Paleface is  dropped from Sire.

-  Spring -"comeback" tour with  The Breeders and Lutefisk.  So much alcohol and drugs consumed, PF gets shakes by Vegas.  Lutefisk  breaks up soon after. Breeder's album gets shelved.   Fall- PF collapses, rushed to hospital  with  failing liver.   Nearly dies-  doctors tell him alcohol and him don't  mix.   Paleface relents.

-1999-  Long recovery.  PF continues to  write between illnesses.

-  Paleface returns to Antihoot.  Meets Joie DBG, The Moldy Peaches and a bunch of other cool artists.   Releases The Multibean  Bootleg.

-   Goes  to San  Francisco to make record with  Jason  Carmer (The Donnas,  Run DMC, Third Eye Blind).  Record gets sidetracked by 9-11and big budget 3rd eye record.  He releases the couch tape.

-  Forms Monkeybone.  Gigs around.  He records Se la Voo in one  day.

-  Finishes San Francisco recording. The CD, Bottlefed,  is released on Art Monkey Records.  It features Third Eye Blind bassist Arion Salazar, Jeff Buckley' s drummer Parker Kindred, Brain (Tom Waits, Primus, and Guns & Roses), and  Taro  and  James  from Monkeybone.    Disbands Monkeybone later that Spring.  Forms side project Just  About To Burn with Breadfoot and Monica "Lil'Mo"  Samalot.   First JATB record  released, produced by Ena.   They tour London, crowds love it.  PF comes back to NY thinking the city sucks shit mostly 'cause of T.V. and rotten doomed culture. (Rest of  USA too).

-  Has just finished  a solo  record  called  Free   Your  Mellow,  Has plans  for  another   one  to   be  recorded in  late spring and  another  Just About  To  Burn  record in  the   fall.Stay  tuned....
