Some artists on PR have legitimate record deals with the label - simpler, but similar to that what you'd find at your neighborhood cold heartless indie label (except way less zero's and the decimal points lean toward the artist). Other artists are folks who's record we just loved and offered to add to the Cannon. PR makes No Money from these fuckers, and gives them some free press and covers a few costs when it can. But here, (and if you've stopped reading by now, start again, cause this is the cool/important part) lies the motherscratchingcrux of the whole schmegeggy - REPUTATION. Since PR is not in the record business to make money, we can have absoloute artistic integrity. I love EVERY SINGLE RECORD that comes out on PR, if I didn't respect the band or the songwriter, I simply wouldn't have them on the label. It's that simple. And the way that's supposed to translate is: if you are a Butch Ross Fan then you should buy Adam's Records; and if you love Adam's Music, then you should take a chance on Todd Young's record or on Pete Chambers' record, because they all bear the PR seal of approval. That's why there's other people on the label. I'm trying to get more people to hear great songs. If its not working out, then fuck me, it seemed like a good idea at the time. --Adam Brodsky, President --Mary Krause, Vice President
